Are you talking about SLi-ing the ATI with NVidia? To me, that's kinda weird, but meh, i'm not rich, my GC died and i'll probably get GTS260 as replacement soo...

you can't sli ati and nvidia. ati uses a different architecture and requires you to use crossfire. even the bridge has different sockets on it. in addition to that the intel quad core statement in the middle of a discussion about core i7 is not very informative. that statement makes it sound like he is using the core i5 (what most people call a quad core).

Of course, I don't use both at the same time O_o I pull out the cable and stick it in another GC. Depends on the game. ATI has better graphs though... But some games hate ATI ... lucky for NVIDIA. Smart eh? ^^

Not really. I'd rather buy 2 or 3 same graphic cards and SLi them or Crossfire them. Then each graphic card supports other card and so on.

I know better than this but the computer geek in me is driving me crazy! Ok here we go again. It is possible to use two different manufactured graphics cards in one computer. But you stating that you just pull the wire from one to the other is wrong. It wont work. If you are talking about the monitor cord then you would have to go into the bios and tell the bios which video card to use in addition to changing the monitor cord. If you are talking about a cord that goes from the cards to the motherboard. you are years out of date. they quit using that type of graphics interface in the 90's. The "Latest cards" are all PCIe X2 cards.

So to stop this will you please list your system specs? you don't have to give the motherboard information out just the basic system specs. To ensure you know what i am talking about i will repost mine.

Core I7 920 (Intel Quad Core with a virtual Core for each primary Core for a total of 8 Cores)
9 Gigs of Tripple Channel DDR3 memory
ATI 4850 with 1 gig of DDR5 memory (no I don't have Crossfire, the Graphics card by itself runs anything I have put on it without any problems. The only thing I have heard of that can even push this card is Crysis with all the settings turned up.)

p.s. I am dieing to know what software you can think of that doesn't run good on an ATI card. And what ATI card specifically it doesn't run on.
